Director of Policy 

£57,500 - £63,048 per annum 

Permanent // Full time (37 hours per week) or part time (4 days per week)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Commissioner’s team in the new role of Director of Policy and make a lasting difference to the lives of older people in Wales. 

The Director of Policy will play a pivotal role in leading on specific areas of work and ensuring excellent working relationships with older people and other stakeholders. They will lead on the priority area of ending ageism and age discrimination and help to create a positive vision of an ageing society.

Policy and Public Affairs Officer 

£28,819 - £34,957 per annum

Permanent // Full time (37 hours per week) or part time (4 days per week) 

The Older People’s Commissioner for Wales is looking for a Policy and Public Affairs Officer who will ensure that an effective political and stakeholder engagement strategy continues to be in place and that our constructive and influential relationships with key stakeholders are maintained. 

Successful applicants will have excellent knowledge and understanding of the UK and Welsh political system as well as experience of developing and delivering effective public affairs campaigns.  They will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate with stakeholders and the media through the medium of Welsh.

The ability to speak Welsh for this role is essential.
