Communities, Local Government and Equalities Lead
Full-time - Permanent

£34,500 - £41,950 per annum

The ability to speak Welsh for this role is essential.

Accountable to the Director of Wellbeing and Empowerment, the Communities, Local Government and Equalities Lead will work with the Welsh Government, local government and other key partners, to promote the importance of community services, facilities and age friendly infrastructure for older people living in Wales.

A key part of the role will be to facilitate constructive challenge about the barriers that impact on the wellbeing of older people and ensure that older people’s rights are at the heart of the delivery of public services in Wales.

The postholder will also review internal processes in line with best practice on Equality and Human Rights Impact Assessments and promote inclusive practices across key stakeholders for the benefit of older people.
