Your views on our future direction

25.10.12

We are currently developing the Commission’s Framework for Action 2013-17, which will guide our work over the next four years.

It is founded on the views of older people, as well as those that support and represent them, that have been gathered through extensive and ongoing engagement across Wales during the past year.

We believe that the four themes within our Framework for Action underpin a good quality life; a life that has value, meaning and purpose.

The themes are:

  • I feel listened to and respected
  • I can do the things that matter to me
  • I get the help I need, when I need it, in the way I want it
  • I live in a place that suits me and my life

The themes provide a clear focus for our work and reflect the outcomes that older people have told us matter to them. In this way the Commission can be confident that our work is actively improving the lives of older people in Wales.

We are seeking the views of older people and stakeholders on the present working draft of the Framework for Action and would welcome your comments, thoughts and suggestions so that we can ensure that our future work is informed by those who are directly affected by it.

Please respond using the feedback form that can be downloaded below and return any feedback and comments to us by Monday 3 December.

If you would like hard copies of the draft Framework for Action and the feedback template, please email ask@olderpeoplewales.com.

We very much value your input and opinion on the strategic direction of the Commission and look forward to receiving your feedback and comments.

If you would like to discuss anything contained within the draft Framework for Action or if you have any questions, please contact Nicolette Sutton, Planning & Performance Officer by email Nicolette.Sutton@olderpeoplewales.com or call 08442 640 670.
